Board of Directors Election Information:
 

Elections for directors of the District are conducted on the November Uniform Election Date. The next election for members of the Board of Directors of the District shall be conducted on November 5, 2024.

The election is typically conducted as a joint election administered by Travis County at the polling places established by Travis County to serve Travis County’s regular election precincts within the District.

Requirements and Deadline for filing for Candidacy for the office of Director of the District:

In order to be qualified to serve as a director of the District, Section 54.102 of the Texas Water Code requires that a person (1) be a resident of the state; (2) own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter in the District; and (3) be at least 18 years of age. A person who desires to be a candidate for the Director election must timely complete and submit an Application for a Place on the November 5, 2024, General Election Ballot. Applications for a place on the ballot may be obtained from the District’s General Counsel, Tiemann, Shahady & Hamala, P.C., 102 N. Railroad Avenue, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, or may be downloaded and printed from the Secretary of State’s website: https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/pol-sub/2-21f.pdf

First day for filing an Application for a Place on the General Election Ballot is Saturday, July 20, 2024.

The deadline for filing the Application for a Place on the General Election Ballot is 78 days prior to the election, or Monday, August 19, 2024, by 5:00 p.m. The deadline for write-in candidates to file a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy is 74 days before the election, or Friday, August 23, 2024.
